MEADVILLE, Pa. -- On Thursday, April 23, 2020, the Allegheny Department of Athletics will join with the rest of the College community to celebrate its sixth annual one-day giving challenge, 'Gator Give Day.'

As a show of unity during this unprecedented time, 100 percent of the department's coaching staffs and administrative areas have pledged personal donations to support the challenge.

"'Gator Give Day' is always an important day for Allegheny College," said Director of Athletics Bill Ross. "It gives all of those who love Allegheny a chance to unite as a community to support our students and invest in their futures.

"Our coaches and administrators are always finding the best ways to support our student-athletes and were instrumental in coordinating participation from each one of our athletic programs and administrative areas," said Ross. "Together, we wanted to showcase our commitment to the College, and continue to prove why Allegheny is consistently ranked as one of the nation's top liberal arts colleges." 

Those interested in making a monetary gift online may do so via the online giving portal at: https://alleghenycollege.wufoo.com/forms/gator-give-day-2020/. From there, you may choose to donate to athletics and your favorite program or the general athletics fund to support all 23 Gator varsity sports.

This year, participation is about more than money. If you are interested in sending a text or video message of support to our current student-athletes who have seen their seasons, and/or careers, ended abruptly, as well as those who completed their seasons, but were unable to finish out the academic year on campus with their friends and teammates, you can reach out to the sport-specific head coach, or email athletics@allegheny.edu.
