GRANVILLE, Ohio – Freshman guard
Rachel Vigliotti scored a career-high 19 points, converting four attempts from the free throw line within the final minute of the second half to send Allegheny to a 63-62 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) win over Denison on Saturday afternoon at Livingston Gymnasium.
In a back and forth affair that saw 14 ties and 10 lead changes, Vigliotti led the way for the Gators (13-10 overall, 8-6 NCAC) by shooting 3-of-4 from three-point range and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe. The first year guard went to the line with Allegheny down by one point, knocking down the game-tying and ultimate game-winning free throws with 30 seconds left.
Fouled again after a missed jumper by Denison (13-10 overall, 8-6 NCAC), Vigliotti pushed the Allegheny lead to three with 12 seconds remaining. Denison was unable to intentionally miss the back end of a one-and-one after making the first with 0.9 seconds remaining. The Gators were able to inbound the ball safely and ran out the clock.
Three Gators scored in double figures as senior forward
Daryl Ford recorded her second straight double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ford, who became the 13th player in program history to surpass the 1,000 point mark on Feb. 2 against Wittenberg, notched the 16th double-double of her career.

Kendall Hoffman tallied 10 points and five rebounds in 38 minutes on the court for the Gators. Freshman forward
Emma Pellicano scored nine points while grabbing six boards as sophomore guard
Marina Scarantino recorded a team-high five assists.
With the win, Allegheny splits the season series with Denison and moves into a tie for third place in the league standings with the Big Red.
In the first, the Gators used a 7-0 run to take a 24-16 lead with 7:47 remaining in the half. Five straight points from Denison cut into Allegheny's lead as the teams continued to battle until a pair of free throws by Hoffman within the final minute of the first tied the game, 35-35, entering halftime.
The two squads traded leads in the second as Allegheny led by four with 8:11 left. Denison used a 7-0 run to take back the lead once again. Vigliotti hit her third three-pointer of the game with 3:54 remaining to tie the game before her performance at the free throw line cemented the victory for Allegheny.
The Gators will welcome Wooster to the David V. Wise Center at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 in their final regular season home game of the season.
