Heckert posted a .545 batting average in the three games, finishing 6-for-11 with a walk, hit-by-pitch, two doubles, six RBI and four runs scored. He also was perfect on the base paths and in the field, collecting 4-of-4 in steals and not recording four putouts and seven assists on 11 defensive chances. The sophomore opened up the year with a 4-for-4, two double, five RBI, two SB performance in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader before walking, being hit by a pitch and stealing a base in the night cap. On Sunday, he registered another multi-hit showing, going 2-for-5 with two runs and a steal as the Gators posted the 9-5 victory.
