Allegheny College Athletics

The Allegheny College men's cross country team finished 12^th in a 38 team field at the 2018 Great Lakes Regional Championship Saturday. Matt Svetz paced the Gators on the day as he earned All-Region honors for the second straight year.  With a time of 25:10.6, Svetz finished fifth overall.  The finish was his best at the Great Lakes Regional, after placing 14^th in 2017.  With his finish, Svetz automatically qualifies for the 2018 NCAA Division-III Championships next Saturday (Nov. 17) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  This marks the second year in which Svetz has qualified as an individual, and his third overall trip.
