Sophomore Nathan Taggart stole the spotlight for the Gators on opening day of the 2013 track & field indoor campaign, winning the 55-meter hurdles while delivering a pair of strong finishes in the jumps to lead Allegheny to a third-place team finish at the Baldwin-Wallace Mid-January Meet. Taggart broke the tape in the hurdles with a time of 8.34, before taking second in the long jump (19'10.25") and third in the high jump (5'9.75").
