STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Allegheny softball team traveled to Franciscan Thursday (April 9) for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) doubleheader, collecting a sweep of the Barons.

The Gators won game one 5-1 and game two 14-4 in five innings.

The game was scoreless until the third inning. Abby Robinson (Mars, Pa./Mars Area) hit a two-out double to right field. Samantha Phillips (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) followed up with an RBI single to centerfield, putting the Gators on the board.
