Volleyball Falls to 25th-Ranked Otterbein

WESTERVILLE, Ohio. – The Allegheny volleyball team concluded play at the 2025 Pam Briggs Classic Saturday (Sept. 6), falling to 25th-ranked Otterbein in straight sets.

The Cardinals won the sets 25-15, 25-22, 25-15.

The 25th-ranked team built an early lead in the opening set. A 5-0 Gator run brought the set closer midway through, but the Cardinals eventually wrapped up the set, 25-15.

Once again, the Cardinals gained an advantage at the start of the set. Allegheny slowly chipped away at the deficit. A 7-0 run by Allegheny brought them within two points, 23-21 late in the set. However, the Gators were unable to make up the rest of the gap as they fell behind by two sets.

After some back-and-forth action to start the third set, the Cardinals went on a big run to pull away, closing out the match with a 25-15 set three win.
