GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Allegheny men's soccer team continued the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) slate of their schedule on the road Saturday (Sept. 27) at Grove City, falling to the Wolverines 5-1.
The Wolverines opened the game with three goals in the opening half. The tallies came in the eighth, 12th and 23rd minute. Late in the frame, the Gators made up a goal. In the 42nd minute,
Will Gruca (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) took a free kick from about 40 yards out. The attempt trickled through the box to the back of the net as the Gators cut the lead to 3-1 at the half. The goal marked his fourth of the year.
In the second half, Grove City added goals in both the 68th and 83rd minutes as the Gators fell on the road.
