GENESEO, N.Y. – The Allegheny men's soccer team traveled to SUNY Geneseo for a nonconference contest Wednesday (Sept. 10), falling to the Knights 3-1.
The start of the game saw two quick goals. The Knights struck first on a set piece in the fourth minute. The Gators answered in the eighth minute.
Will Gruca (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) served a ball to
Cole Bowser (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) in the box. Bowser then shot the ball to the upper corner, tying the game. The goal marked Bowser's third of the season.
After the quick goals, neither team scored again in the opening 45 minutes.
SUNY Geneseo regained the lead in the 55th minute on a shot from inside the box. They tacked on an additional goal in the 77th minute as they collected the nonconference win.
