CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Allegheny women's soccer team continued their opening weekend on the road at Case Western Reserve, falling to the Spartans 6-0 Sunday (Aug. 31) in nonconference action.
Case Western Reserve, who made it to the second round of the 2024 NCAA Division III Championships for the fourth straight year last season, scored three goals in each half to pick up the nonconference victory. The Spartans also entered the season receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) top-25 poll.
Alex Augustine (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) made four saves in the opening half before stopping 10 more shots in the final 45 minutes.
