The Presidents got on the board in the second, plating one run to cut the lead to 4-1.

In the third, the Gators added five more runs. After Long had a leadoff single, starting pitcher Samantha Dzierba (Colden, N.Y./Orchard Park) drove her home. Phillips followed up a Book single with a RBI single down the left field line, bringing home a pinch running Catherine Burkett (Harborcreek, Pa./Harbor Creek).
