MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The No. 63-ranked Allegheny College men's tennis team completed its third consecutive undefeated Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) on Thursday afternoon with a 7-0 shutout win over Washington and Jefferson College.
The Gators finished the regular season 18-6 overall with an 8-0 PAC record. Since rejoining the conference during the 2022-23 campaign, Allegheny is unbeaten with a 24-0 record against PAC opponents and have earned the top seed in the championship tournament three years in a row. With a 7-0 decision over the Presidents (8-10, 4-4 PAC), the Blue and Gold won all eight conference matches this season in shutout fashion.
In singles action,
Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet) and
Javier Bejarano Jimenez (El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain/IES Padre Luis Coloma) both wrapped up the PAC slate with perfect 8-0 records. Hedlund and Bejarano Jimenez both won their first and third singles matches 6-0, 6-1. Hedlund also joined
Benedek Kaibas (Salgótarján, Hungary/Mikszáth Kálmán Gimnázium) as the only two Gators to go 8-0 in PAC doubles matches this spring.
