MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The top-seeded Allegheny College men's tennis team blanked fourth-seeded Saint Vincent College in the semifinal round of the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament on Thursday at the Robertson Athletic Complex.

With the win, the Gators (19-6) advance to the PAC tournament finals and will host the No. 2 seed, Grove City College, on Saturday, April 26, at 1:00 p.m. Saturday's match will be the third consecutive PAC title featuring Allegheny and Grove City, and the Gators will be looking to bring home their third straight championship.

Against the Bearcats (16-5), Allegheny earned the two doubles wins needed to secure the first point of the match with identical 6-1 wins from Arick Baldwin (Oakwood, Ohio/Oakwood) and Olivier Erkens (Gouda, Netherlands/Coornhert Gymnasium) in the No. 2 spot and the No. 3 duo of Benedek Kaibas (Salgótarján, Hungary/Mikszáth Kálmán Gimnázium) and Levente Mihaly (Békéscsaba, Hungary/Békéscsabai SZC Széchenyi István).

The top half of the singles lineup quickly clinched the victory with a trio of straight-set wins. Kristian Janci (Kysucké Nové Mesto, Slovakia/The British International School Shanghai), Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet), and Mihaly combined to outscore their opponents 36-1, as Janci and Hedlund won every game in the first and second matches.
