MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's lacrosse team dropped a nonconference contest to Susquehanna, 20-2, Saturday (March 8) in Meadville.
The River Hawks scored the first eight goals of the game before the Gators got on the board.
Amelia Henderson (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) found the back of the net off a free-position shot in the second quarter for the first goal. Five minutes later,
Erin Lowthert (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) scored off an assist by
Lauren Petrarca (Simi Valley, Calif./Royal) for the second goal. Susquehanna added two more goals to lead 12-2 at halftime.
The Gators were shutout in the second half of play as the River Hawks scored four goals in each of the frames.

- Henderson scored a goal while causing two turnovers and collecting two groundballs.
- Lowthert scored the other goal for the Gators. She also led the team with four draw controls, adding a caused turnover and a groundball.
- Petrarca tallied an assist, two draw controls, two groundballs and a caused turnover.
- Jamie Marchewka (Buffalo, N.Y./Amherst Central) caused a turnover and had a groundball.
- Macy Simons (Catonsville, Md./Western Tech) and Ella Ashton (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) made three saves apiece.
