OBERLIN, Ohio – The Allegheny women's lacrosse team traveled to Oberlin Wednesday (March 19) for a nonconference game.
The Gators fell to the Yeowomen 18-2.
Lauren Petrarca (Simi Valley, Calif./Royal) scored both goals for the Gators in the fourth quarter on free-position shots. The first goal came just a minute into the frame while the second one was with under five minutes to play.
Allegheny tallied 12 shots with nine of them being on goal. Oberlin had a small edge in draw controls, 13-11.
Inside the Box
- Petrarca scored both goals for the Gators. She also had eight draw controls to lead the way.
- Caroline Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty) collected four groundballs.
- Kendall Cox (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) and Amelia Henderson (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) each had two groundballs and a caused turnover.
- Ella Ashton (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) and Jamie Marchewka (Buffalo, N.Y./Amherst Central) also caused a turnover.
- Macy Simons (Catonsville, Md./Western Tech) and Ashton split time in goal, each making four saves.

- Henderson, a junior, collected her 100th career groundball.
