Santicola Breaks Career Rebound Record in Win Against Westminster

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Allegheny women's basketball senior Sarah Santicola (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) broke the program record for career rebounds as the Gators opened Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play with a 69-42 home victory against Westminster Wednesday (Dec. 3).

Santicola collected the record breaking 869th rebound in the first quarter at the 2:24 mark as part of her seven rebound night. The previous record of 868 rebounds was set by Carson Slade during the 1990-91 season.

Allegheny continued to develop their lead in the second quarter as it reached 20-12 at the halfway point. The Gator lead reached double digits in the final minutes as they took a 29-18 lead into the half.
