NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Allegheny men's soccer team fell on the road at Westminster Wednesday (Oct. 15), 1-0, in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play.
In the opening half, Allegheny outpaced the Titans in shots at 10-3 and in corners 6-2. However, the match remained scoreless at the halftime break.
Westminster got on the board in the 53rd minute, following up on a cross through the box for the tally.
The Gators kept up the offensive pressure throughout the second half as they outshot the Titans 11-6 in the 45 minute frame. In the final 10 minutes, the Gators tallied six shots. In the 87th minute,
Aidan Dyga's (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) header off a free kick went just over the crossbar.
Billy Sprott (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) also had a chance in the final minute but his attempt was stopped as the Gators fell 1-0.

- Jose Cifuentes (Guatemala City, Guatemala/The Kiski School (Pa.)) had a pair of shots on goal.
- Will Gruca (Baden, Pa./Ambridge), Cole Bowser (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) and Sprott also had shots on target.
- Cadan Bennett (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) made six saves.
- The Gators had the advantage in shots (21-9) and corners (10-8).
