MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's tennis team hosted non-conference matches at the Robertson Tennis Complex on Friday, earning a 7-0 win over Penn State Behrend and a 6-1 victory over the University of Mount Union.

Facing two teams in a span of four hours, Allegheny (4-1) shook up the lineup slightly but still walked away with 13 of 14 possible points.

The Gators swept all six doubles matches from Penn State Behrend (0-1) and Mount Union (0-2) with five different tandems. The only duo to play in both contests was the team of Julia Müsseler (Munich, Germany/Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium) and Omega Ba (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater). Müsseler and Ba defeated both of their doubles opponents by a 6-1 score while playing in the No. 1 spot against the Lions and the No. 2 spot against the Purple Raiders.

In singles action, three Gators appeared in both lineups and went 2-0 on the day. Emiliia Grydnieva (Kyiv, Ukraine/Optima) was victorious in both No. 1 matches. Rei Etsumi (Honolulu, Hawaii/President William McKinley) was second against Penn State Behrend and third against Mount Union but won 12 of 15 games played against both opponents. Nicole Serna Cassan (Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico/Grandview Preparatory (Fla.)) added identical 6-1, 6-1 sweeps against her third and fourth singles opponents.
