MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny field hockey team fell at home to Brockport 3-0 Sunday (Sept. 1) in nonconference action.
After a series of stops by goalie
Rowan O'Toole (Glen Bernie, Md./Archbishop Spaulding) and a defensive save by
Jenna Cassani (Belgrade, Maine/Messalonskee), the Golden Eagles got on the board for the game's first goal. Late in the opening frame, Brockport scored off a corner to make it 2-0.
Each side earned opportunities in the second quarter, but neither were able to convert as Brockport held a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The Golden Eagles tacked on one goal in the third and scored on a penalty stroke in the fourth while holding off the Allegheny attack as the Gators fell 4-0.

- O'Toole finished with 14 saves, a program record by one save
- Jamie Marchewka (Buffalo, N.Y./Amherst Central) made two defensive saves while Cassani had one.
- Caroline Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty) had a pair of shots.
