ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Allegheny College men's tennis team won its third consecutive match to kick off its spring break trip, as the Gators defeated Concordia University Wisconsin on Wednesday, 7-2.

Allegheny (5-2) took the top two doubles matches, and five of six singles matches. The only singles loss of the evening was a very competitive contest at No. 4, which was decided in a super tiebreak.

Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet), David Rodriguez (St. Ann's, Trinidad & Tobago/Fatima College), and Will Jarvie (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) were all double-winners against the Falcons (3-4). The duo of Hedlund and Rodriguez took the top doubles match, 8-3, and Jarvie teamed up with Benedek Kaibas (Salgótarján, Hungary/Mikszáth Kálmán Gimnázium) for an 8-1 win in the second position.

Hedlund, Rodriguez, and Jarvie then swept the top three singles matches. At second singles, Rodriguez edged his opponent in the first set, 7-6 (2), before sealing the win in the second set, 6-3. Jarvie closed his third singles win over Shaun Del Vecchio with a shutout in the second set.
