GROVE CITY, Pa. – Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) of the Allegheny women's swimming team captured first-place in the 100 breaststroke to highlight day three of the 2024 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships Friday night (Feb. 16) in Grove City.
 
Reiter won the event with a time of 1:07.99. This marks her second career PAC title in the event after winning it in 2023. Her time of 1:07.96 in the preliminary round is the fifth fastest time in Allegheny history. It also marks the second straight night in which the Gators captured a title at the event.
 
The Gators started the evening with Olivia Kraus (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) and Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) competing in the finals of the 100 butterfly. Kraus was the runner-up in the event with a time of 57.03. That time marked the fastest time ever for a Gator in the event, surpassing Julieanne Reed's record of 58.1 set in 2015. It was also her second school record of the PAC Championships after a winning effort in the 50 freestyle the previous night. 
 
Kohler was sixth in the finals with a time of 1:02.83, shaving nearly a second off of her preliminary time.
 
Mary Evans (Rochester, N.Y./Arcadia) competed in the consolation finals of the 200 freestyle, taking 15th with a time of 2:12.03.
 
Leah Frase (Madison, Ohio/Madison) earned a spot in the consolation finals of the 100 breaststroke, placing 15th with a time of 1:20.29.
 
Katya Pryshchenko (Berwyn, Pa./AIM Academy) won the consolation finals of the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:05.58 to earn ninth-place overall.
 
The night ended with the 400 medley relay. Pryshchenko, Reiter, Kohler and Kraus teamed up to take second with a time of 4:07.14.
