GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Allegheny women's swimming team opened up competition at the 2024 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships Wednesday night (Feb. 14), hosted by Grove City.
 
The Gators competed in the 200 medley relay on the opening night.
 
Katya Pryshchenko (Berwyn, Pa./AIM Academy), Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA), Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) and Olivia Kraus (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) competed in the race. They placed second with a time of 1:51.04. That time was just off of Grove City's first place time of 1:49.68.
 
The finish earned the Gators 34 team points.
 
The second day of the PAC Championships on Thursday (Feb. 15) will feature the 50 and 500 freestyle, the 200 individual medley and the 200 freestyle relay.
