WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Allegheny College men's soccer team earned another point in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) standings with a 1-1 draw on the road against Waynesburg University on Wednesday.
It marks the second tie on the Allegheny (1-8-3, 0-1-2 PAC) ledger since the start of conference play. On the other hand, Waynesburg (6-2-1, 2-0-1 PAC) saw its four-game win streak, which included two PAC victories, come to an end.
The Gators possessed the ball well against the Yellow Jackets and put together a continuous offensive attack. Although Allegheny scored first in the 35th minute, the Blue and Gold couldn't catch lightning in a bottle a second time throughout the remainder of the contest.
The first-half marker came off the right foot of
Brady Napoleon (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) on an impressive bicycle kick from 13 yards out. The quick transition play began with two long through balls from
Jose Cifuentes (Guatemala City, Guatemala/The Kiski School (Pa.)) and
Cliff Weaver (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein). Weaver then found
Nick Magee (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) racing wide open down the right side of the field, and Magee's cross was perfectly placed in the center of the field for Napoleon to launch into the net.

Waynesburg evened the score in the 71st minute. First-year keeper
Cadan Bennett (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland), who was otherwise flawless throughout the match, got his gloves on a low shot from Michael Kanu, but the ball slipped five-hole and trickled across the goal line.
