GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Allegheny field hockey team continued North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play in Indiana Saturday (Oct. 12), falling at DePauw 6-0.
The Tigers got on the board early, scoring just more than a minute in.
Samantha Mura (Rochester, N.Y./Irondequoit) nearly tied the game a minute later, but her shot was turned away. DePauw added a second goal in the closing minutes of the opening frame as they led 2-0 going into the second.
Caroline Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty) had a shot on goal off of a penalty quarter early in the second, but the shot was saved. The Tigers tacked on two more goals as they led 4-0 at halftime.
After a scoreless third, DePauw scored their fifth and sixth goals in the fourth.
Bella Cowen (Louisville, Ky./Kentucky Country Day School),
Emily Robles (Burlington Township, N.J./Burlington Township) and
Taylor Fordyce (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) registered shots in the quarter but were unable to find the back of the net as the Gators fell in NCAC play.

- Rowan O'Toole (Glen Burnie, Md./Archbishop Spalding) made nine saves.
