PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Allegheny men's soccer team fell in action on the road Sunday (Sept. 3) to Carnegie Mellon, 3-0, in nonconference action.
The game was scoreless at halftime.
Gabe Anthony (Tarentum, Pa./Highlands) made two stops in the opening 45 minutes.
Will Gruca (Braden, Pa./Cambridge) put a shot on target in the 27th minute, but it was turned away.
After an early shot by
Nick Magee (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) was saved, Carnegie Mellon gained control early in the second half, scoring in the 50th and 56th minutes to gain a 2-0 advantage.
The Tartans would tack on one more tally in the 72nd minute while limiting the Gators' chances to seal the victory.
