BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Allegheny women's tennis team continued their undefeated Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) run with a 9-0 sweep at Geneva Monday (Sept. 25).
With the victory, the Gators improved to 3-1 overall, and 3-0 in PAC action.
Jean-Arlette Legrand (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Commonwealth Parkville School) and
Sabrina Rodriguez (Kissimmee, Fla./Professional and Technical) went unblemished in their first doubles match.
Emiliia Grydnieva (Kyiv, Ukraine/Optima) and
Rei Etsumi (Honolulu, Hawaii/President William McKinley) won 8-5 at second doubles while
Lauren Passarelli (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) and
Omega Ba (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater) collected an 8-3 win at third doubles.
Legrand, Grydnieva, Rodriguez, Etsumi and Ba all collected their second wins of the day in singles competition.
Noelle Kidd (Broadview Heights, Ohio/North Royalton) picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at fifth singles.
