MEADVILLE, Pa. – Allegheny College welcomed 60 student-athletes into the 2023 Chi Alpha Sigma Induction class, the fifth class in the school's history.
 
Chi Alpha Sigma is the pre-eminent honor society for college athletes, recognizing those who receive a varsity letter in their sport while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher throughout the junior and/or senior years.  Potential inductees, who must be endorsed by their coaches, are to display good sportsmanship, citizenship, and moral character. 
 
Chi Alpha Sigma was founded in 1996 on the campus of DePauw University. Allegheny College was granted Chi Alpha Sigma membership in October 2017.
