NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Allegheny men's tennis team improved to 7-0 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Wednesday (April 19), defeating Westminster 9-0 on the road.
The first doubles team of
Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet)
Adam Shinomiya (Portland, Ore./International School of Beaverton) and the second doubles team of
Ethan Carr (King of Prussia, Pa./Harriton) and
David Rodriguez (St. Ann's, Trinidad and Tobago/Fatima College) both won by 8-2 scores. The third doubles team of
Dario Wolfe (New Kensington, Pa./Valley) and
Guillaume Emiliano Loinard-Gonzalez (Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico/Universidad Jefferson Morelia) won 8-6.
Hedlund at first, Carr at second and Rodriguez at fourth all won their second matches of the day.
Julien Voisey (Tokyo, Japan/ES International School) won 6-0, 6-1 at third singles.
Will Jarvie (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) had a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep at fifth singles while
Evan Nelson (Scituate, Mass./Scituate) won 6-1, 6-3 at sixth singles.
