Perelman Ties Program Record With 12 Points vs. Whitworth

SPOKANE, Wash. -- Senna Perelman (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) and the Allegheny College women's lacrosse team put on an offensive clinic on Tuesday afternoon against the Whitworth University Pirates in an overwhelming 23-6 victory to start the team's two-game West Coast road trip.

Perelman led the charge for the Gators (3-0), as the reigning Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Midfielder of the Week, tied the program's single-game record for points with 12. The fourth-year standout scored a career-high-tying seven goals and dished out five assists, fueling an Allegheny team that scored the most goals in a game in nearly a decade.

It wasn't a one-woman show against the Pirates (3-4), however. Lauren Petrarca (Simi Valley, Calif./Royal) netted six goals with one assist, and Grace Baginski (Lakeville, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) recorded a hat trick. Kennedy Kyle (Seven Fields, Pa./Seneca Valley) and Liz Dolan (Pittsburgh, Pa./Hampton) logged multi-goal performances with two tallies apiece.

The Gators, who averaged 14 goals per game in their first two contests of the spring, had 14 at halftime against Whitworth. But it wasn't only the scorers who stood out, as Allegheny's defense pitched a shutout in the third quarter and allowed only one second-half goal with four-and-a-half minutes left.
