Game One – Allegheny 8, Bethany 0 (6 innings)

Aleya Belardinelli (Melbourne, Fla./West Shore) led off the first with an infield single. After getting to third with two outs, Sofia Genareo (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) doubled off the right center wall, bringing Belardinelli home for the first run of the game.

In the third, Cameron Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) cranked a solo home run over the right field fence to extend the lead to 2-0. The home run was Long's third of the season.

Halle Book (Pittsburgh, Pa/North Catholic) led off the fifth with a double to the right center gap. Belardinelli then singled down the first base line, scoring Book. Long followed up with a deep double, bringing Belardinelli around to make it 4-0. WIth Long aboard, Sophia Godzak (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon) homered to dead center, increasing the lead to 6-0. The home run marked the first of the season for Godzak. Genareo then stepped to the plate and belted her second home run of the year as the Gators went long on back-to-back at-bats to move ahead, 7-0.

The Gators loaded the bases in the bottom of the sixth. Olivia Devries (Kent, Ohio/Field) delivered a walk-off single up the middle which scored Godzak, ending the game early.
