MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's basketball team was unable to overcome a fourth quarter Saint Vincent run as they fell at home 58-47 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Saturday (Feb. 4).

Allegheny regained the lead, 15-14, on a long two pointer by Sarah Santicola (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area). The rest of the half went back-and-forth, but Saint Vincent scored last to take a 28-26 lead into halftime.

Santicola finished the opening half with 11 points, five rebounds and three blocks. Kate Leach (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) added six points while Sofia Genareo (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) had five.

After the break, Saint Vincent opened the second half on a 9-2 run to gain a 37-28 advantage. Allegheny gained some momentum late in the frame, outscoring the Bearcats 7-4 down the stretch, but entered the fourth down 45-40.
