BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Allegheny men's basketball team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) road contest at Geneva, 77-42, Saturday (Dec. 2).
The teams were evenly matched in the early portion of the opening half with the game tied at six five minutes in. However, the Golden Tornadoes started to gain momentum after converting four straight free-throws. After the Gators made it a two point game again with 10 minutes left in the half, Geneva finished the frame on a 21-8 run to take a 33-18 lead into halftime.
Andre Wilder (Beaver Falls, Pa./Lincoln Park) had six points in the opening half while
Preston Turk (New Castle, Pa./Neshannock) had five, including a traditional three-point play as time expired.
Luke Barker (New Castle, Pa./Struthers (Ohio)) had five first half rebounds as the Gators held a 24-22 edge in that category.
The Golden Tornadoes momentum carried over to the second half. Their lead grew to as much as 36 as they outpaced the Gators in the frame 44-24 to capture the win.

- Wilder finished the game with a team-high 10 points and seven rebounds.
- Turk scored seven points to go with three rebounds and three assists.
- James Sitter (Erie, Pa./Fairview) scored six points while Mike Noonan (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) had five.
- Robert Russell (Bedford, Ohio/Lake Catholic) accounted for four points while Isaiah Portis (Medina, Ohio/Norwayne) and Tanner Miller (Elkins, W. Va./Elkins) had three apiece.
- Jayson Perry (Tampa, Fla./Sickles) and Amari Jackson (Cincinnati, Ohio/The Kiski School) had two points apiece.
- Ryan Lang (Sarver, Pa./Knoch) had six rebounds while Barker finished with five.
