MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Now in their second season in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), the Allegheny College women's basketball team and head coach Kelly Muffley are preparing to kick off the 2023-24 campaign this week.

The Gators, who were picked fifth in the PAC's preseason coaches' poll, have a full slate with 25 games this season. Five of those are against non-conference opponents, and 11 contests will be played inside Mullen Arena at the David V. Wise Center.

The season starts on Wednesday, November 8, with a 7:00 p.m. matchup against Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Over the weekend, Allegheny will travel to the Chuck Resler Tournament, hosted by the University of Rochester, on Friday, November 10, and Saturday, November 11.

The early four-game road trip ends at the same time PAC action begins. Allegheny visits Grove City College on Wednesday, November 15, for the conference opener.

On Tuesday, November 21, the Gators welcome Bethany College to Mullen Arena for the 2023-24 home opener at 6:00 p.m. Following the Thanksgiving break, Allegheny returns home to host Case Western Reserve in a non-conference showdown on Sunday, November 26.

The month of December only features two home games. On Saturday, December 9, the Gators host Waynesburg University at 2:00 p.m. On Sunday, December 31, Allegheny ends the 2023 portion of the schedule with a PAC contest against Chatham University at 2:00 p.m.

In January, the Gators have home games featuring Grove City (1/10), Washington and Jefferson College (1/13), Thiel College (1/24), Geneva College (1/27), and Westminster College (1/31).

Senior Day is scheduled for Saturday, February 10, at 2:00 p.m. against Franciscan University. The home finale is on Wednesday, February 14, when the Gators face Saint Vincent College at 6:00 p.m.
