BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Allegheny women's soccer team fell in a close 1-0 battle at Geneva in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Tuesday (Oct. 3).
The Gators nearly scored in the opening minute, but
Julieta Schworm's (Newark, Ohio/Licking Valley) shot went just wide of the far post.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the opening half as
Kari May (Erie, Pa./McDowell) made a pair of saves.
The Golden Tornadoes gained the lead in the 58th minute as they headed in a cross.
Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy) had a pair of shots that missed high while
Katherine Surdykowski (Chesterfield, N.J./Northern Burlington County Regional) had a shot just off the mark in the final minutes as the Gators were unable to find the equalizer.
