PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Allegheny volleyball team dropped their first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match as they fell on the road to Chatham Tuesday (Oct. 10).
The Cougars won the sets 25-18, 25-19, 25-15.
After some back-and-forth action to start the match, the Cougars started to outpace the Gators midway through the opening set. The Gators fought back late, but Chatham won the set 25-18.
The Gators gained an early lead in the second set, but a big run by the Cougars gave them a 20-12 lead. Once more, the Gators made up some ground late, but Chatham won the set 25-19.
Similar to the opening set, the teams were even early before a big run by Chatham pulled them ahead. The Cougars rode that lead to the end to wrap up the conference win.
Inside the Box
- Angelee Bawek (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) led the Gators with 11 kills while also matching that total in digs.
- Emma Chambers (Stoutsville, Ohio/Amanda Clearcreek) had six kills while Dagney Javes (Frederick, Colo./Dawson School) had four.
- Jacy Diaz (Barranquitas, Puerto Rico/Gallatin (Tenn.)) led the Gators defense with 16 digs.
- Izzy Gray (Erie, Pa./Harbor Creek) totaled 16 assists and six digs.

- The Gators moved to 14-7 overall and 2-1 in PAC play this season.
- Allegheny is now 3-4 all-time against Chatham.
