MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Collegiate Baseball Newspaper highlighted two members of the Allegheny College baseball program as part of the 2023 Division III Players to Watch List in the publication's annual preseason edition.

Senior pitcher Conor Deasy and sophomore outfielder Tyson Bryant-Dawson were both included on the watch list, which identifies the best players from across the Division III landscape.

Deasy, a 2021 All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honoree, will be a key piece member of the Allegheny rotation this spring. As a junior, the right-handed hurler went 6-5 with a 4.48 earned-run average in 11 starts. He paced all Gators last season in innings (60.1), strikeouts (73), and complete games (3). Over the past two seasons, he's twirled seven complete games and four shutouts.

As a freshman, Bryant-Dawson tore the cover off the ball as one of the top hitters in the Allegheny lineup. He led all Gators in slugging percentage (.575), OPS (1.009), runs (38), and RBI (36) and was tied for the team lead in home runs (4). Not only did he provide pop at the plate, but the speedy outfielder also swiped 15 bases and was caught stealing only thrice. As a result, Bryant-Dawson was named Allegheny's Male Newcomer of the Year and an All-NCAC Second Team selection.

Deasy, Bryant-Dawson, and the rest of the Allegheny baseball team will return to the diamond on Saturday, February 25, when the Gators open a three-game series against John Carroll University at the Linda K. Epling Stadium in Beckley, West Virginia.
