ECAC Release
DANBURY, Conn. -- Allegheny College's
Ryan Cochran (Pittsburgh, Pa./Deer Lakes) added yet another postseason award to his growing list of accolades following a breakout sophomore campaign in 2026.
Cochran was one of 14 players and the only athlete from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) named to the 2026 All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Team. The slugging outfielder previously earned a spot on the All-PAC First Team and garnered All-Region VII honors from both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound outfielder punished opposing pitchers all spring with one of the greatest displays of power by an Allegheny batter in recent memory. Cochran finished second in single-season history with 14 home runs, two shy of the team record and the most by a Gator since 1998. A four-time Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week honoree, he slashed .419/.500/.800 and paced the team in hits (65), runs (54), RBIs (47), extra-base hits (30), and doubles (15) in 40 games. Of his 22 multi-hit games, Cochran smashed multiple home runs on three occasions. He belted a combined five dingers in a two-game sweep of Franciscan University, highlighted by a three-homer effort in the series opener on April 18. Cochran ended the season ranked 11th in Division III in slugging percentage (.800), 21st in home runs per game (0.35), 25th in home runs (14), and 34th in total bases (124).
