MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's soccer team was unable to overcome an early Westminster goal as they fell 2-1 at home in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Saturday (Sept. 24) during Blue & Gold Weekend.
Westminster scored the first goal in the tenth minute on a penalty kick to the low post. The game remained 1-0 until the 63rd minute when the Titans scored once again on a close shot.
The Gators got on the board in the 77th minute.
Sarah DeGrendel (Rochester, Mich./Stony Creek) got in the way of a Westminster clearance pass which bounced to
Allie Peasley (Douglas, Wyo./Douglas) who redirected it under the crossbar for the Gator goal.
Allegheny applied pressure to the Titans late but were unable to to find the back of the net again.

- Peasley scored in the 77th minute off a pass from DeGrendel.
- Kari May (Erie, Pa./McDowell) made seven stops in net.
- Westminster had a 22-13 shot advantage and a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
