MEADVILLE, Pa. – A hat trick by
Brady Napoleon (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) lifted the Gators to a 4-2 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) victory at home during Blue & Gold Weekend against Westminster Saturday (Sept. 24).
The Titans got on the board first with a goal in the 17th minute, but the Gators responded seven minutes later. Napoleon buried a free-kick from just outside the goal box in the top right corner to even the score. Ten minutes later,
Shane Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) struck on a contested ball from about 15 yards out, giving the Gators the lead.
Napoleon scored again in the 51st minute. This time, he headed in a
Zach Ioli (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) free kick to increase the lead to 3-1. Westminster scored again in the 56th minute to bring the lead down to 3-2.
Napoleon completed his hat trick in the 77th minute, knocking in a
Gunnar Brettell (Steubenville, Ohio/Indian Creek) corner kick, moving the lead back up to two goals.
The Gators defense held on down the stretch, led by goalie
Caleb Kendra (Beaver Falls, Pa./Riverside).
