MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's tennis team cruised to a fifth-straight victory and remained undefeated in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play with a 9-0 win over Thiel College on Tuesday evening.

The Gators (5-0, 3-0 PAC) put together an impressive performance in a rout of the Tomcats (2-4, 1-3 PAC). Allegheny not only swept all nine matches, but the Gators lost only three games across doubles and singles action combined. Six of the matches, including five of the singles contests, ended with zeros on the Thiel half of the scoreboard.

The doubles lineup featured a trio of new tandems, with Katherine Marks (Argyle, Texas/Liberty Christian) and Ella Swan (Nashville, Tenn./Hume-Fogg Academic) teaming together at No. 1 for the first time this fall. For the third consecutive match, Marks also represented the Gators in the first singles position, with Swan competing in the second slot.

Marks, Swan, Sabrina Rodriguez (Kissimmee, Fla./Professional and Technical), Maria Lounder (Pittsburgh, Pa./Moon Area), and Noelle Kidd (Broadview Heights, Ohio/North Royalton) all recorded 6-0, 6-0 straight-set wins for Allegheny on the singles courts.
