BETHANY, W.V. – The Allegheny men's soccer team played their first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match since 1983, drawing with Bethany, 2-2, Tuesday (Sept. 20).
After a scoreless first half, the Gators got on the board. Cliff Weaver (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein) found the back of the net off an assist by Tighe Raymond (Washington, D.C./Dematha Catholic) in the 56th minute. However, Bethany responded a pair of goals in the 69th and 70th minute.
The Bethany lead was short lived as Cam Kaminski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Maumee Valley Country Day) evened the score in the 76th minute, converting a penalty kick.
Each side had chances down the stretch, but neither were able to convert as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
