Field Hockey collects 3-1 win against Wooster

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny field hockey team moved to 5-1 on the season as they defeated Wooster 3-1 Wednesday (Sept. 14) in nonconference action.

The Gators struck just three minutes into the opening frame. Maya Francisco (Toledo, Ohio/Maumee Valley Country Day School) connected with Emily Robles (Burlington Township, N.J./Burlington Township), who found the back of the net for the early goal.

Just over two minutes into the third quarter, the Gators found the back of the net once more. Off a penalty corner, Hannah Sharp (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) scored on an assist from Bella Cowen (Louisville, Ky./Kentucky Day School) after a scrum in front of the net. A similar goal occurred again midway through the fourth. This time, Debbie Nalesnik (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) tapped in a pass from Molly Miller (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) to make it 3-0.
