MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's tennis team collected a 6-3 win at home over Division II Daemen Tuesday (April 19).
The Gators started the day by winning two-of-three doubles matches. The second doubles pairing of
Adam Shinomiya (Portland, Ore./International School of Beaverton) and
Nate Chubb (Akron, N.Y./Akron Central) won their match 8-2. The third doubles team of
Wonjoon Cho (Wichita, Kan./Wichita Collegiate School) and
David Salazar II (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) had a similar 8-2 decision.
Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet) was victorious at first singles with a decisive 6-1, 6-2 score.
Julien Voisey (Tokyo, Japan/ES International School) won 6-1, 7-6 at fourth singles while
Will Jarvie (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) won 6-2, 6-2 at fifth singles.
Fabrizzio Reategui (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Prep International) also had a win for the Gators, defeating his counterpart 6-4, 6-1 at sixth singles.
Allegheny wraps up the regular season portion of their schedule Wednesday (April 20) when they play host to Penn State Behrend.
