ERIE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's tennis team battled past Ohio Wesleyan for a 5-4 victory Sunday (April 10).
Wonjoon Cho (Wichita, Kan./Wichita Collegiate School) and
David Salazar II (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh Free Academy) started the match with an 8-1 win at third doubles, though the Gators trailed 2-1 heading into singles action.
The Gators won four-of-six singles matches to secure the win. Cho had his second win as he won 6-4, 6-2 at second singles.
Julien Voisey (Tokyo, Japan/ES International School) had a 7-5, 6-1 win at fourth singles while
Will Jarvie (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) won 6-4, 6-2 at fifth singles. At sixth singles,
Nate Chubb (Akron, N.Y./Akron Central) swept his opponent 6-0, 6-0.
Allegheny is back in action Monday (April 11) at home against Penn State Behrend.
