WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Allegheny dropped a narrow nonconference road match at Washington & Jefferson Wednesday night by a 16-15 count.

Senna Perelman (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) tallied six points on three goals and three assists to post her eighth hat trick in as many matches this year. Emily Herrold (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) matched her season and career high with four goals and added an assist for five points. Grace Baginski (Lakeville, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) added her fifth hat trick in the last six matches in the loss. Lauren Petrarca (Simi Valley, Calif./Royal) chipped in three points with a goal and two assists.

Mary Allen (Victor, N.Y./Victor) had a stellar game, picking up career highs with eight ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Liz Dolan (Pittsburgh, Pa./Hampton) was second on the team with five ground balls, while Sybi Gerhart (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) recorded five draw controls. 

Sarah Thorman (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) made 13 saves in goal, her fourth double-digit save performance in 2022.

The Gators return to North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play on Saturday, April 2 with a 3 p.m. match at Denison.
