HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Allegheny women's tennis team defeated Augustana 5-4 on Wednesday (March 23) in a non-conference matchup.
 
Katherine Stancil (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland), Jean-Arlette Legrand (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Commonwealth Parkland School) and Noelle Kidd (Broadview Heights, Ohio/North Royalton) each defeated Augustana in singles. Stancil went 6-1, 6-1, Legrand pulled away 6-0, 6-1, and Kidd did not lose a single game in her match. 


Ella Swan (Nashville, Tenn./Hume-Fogg Academic) and Legrand were victorious as first doubles by a score of 8-7 (8-6). The second doubles duo of Stancil and Katherine Marks (Argyle, Texas/Liberty Christian) also came out on top 8-5. 
 
Allegheny will look to climb back to a .500 record tomorrow, Thursday, March 24 at 3 p.m. against Wisconsin-Whitewater.
