MEADVILLE, Pa. – Allegheny hosted an Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) opponent at Frank B. Fuhrer Field for the third time this season, dropping by a 16-6 margin to Baldwin Wallace on Wednesday (March 16) evening.
Ryan Therkorn (Falls Church, Va./George C. Marshall),
Aidan D'Amato (Tolland, Conn./Tolland) (three goals),
Garrett Danielson (Kettering, Ohio/Kettering-Fairmont) and
Pete Schellbach (New York, N.Y./Salisbury School) each found the back of the net for the Gators. For Danielson, the tally marked the first of his career and Schellbach collected his first of the season. Therkorn's was the second of his Blue & Gold tenure and D'Amato's three goals gave him his second career hat trick and pushed him to eight goals on the 2022 campaign.
D'Amato also led the Gators with five ground balls.
Colin Deubell (Buffalo, N.Y./West Seneca West) and
Ryan Mantione (East Northport, N.Y./John Glenn) both picked up four ground balls apiece.
Cassady Bouthet (Vernon, Conn./Rockville) had a team-high three caused turnovers.
In net,
David Kratzenberg (Latrobe, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) made eight saves while
Eric Mirkovich (York, Pa./York Central) made seven stops.
The Gators will travel to Pittsburgh for a 2:30 p.m. nonconference match at future Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Chatham on Saturday, March 19.
