WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Allegheny women's soccer team battled Waynesburg to a 1-1 draw on the road Saturday evening (Oct. 8) in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play.
After a scoreless first half, the Gators notched the first goal of the game in the 57th minute. Following a free kick, the ball bounced off the top of the crossbar to
Emma Miller (Elyria, Ohio/Lake Ridge Academy). Miller passed the ball to
Lilly Noel (Shepherdstown, W. Va./St. James) in front of the net, who redirected it in to break the stalemate.
The lead was short lived as the Yellow Jackets scored the equalizer just nine minutes later.
Both teams had chances to take the lead the rest of the way, including a corner kick for the Gators in the final minute, but neither were able to find the back of the net again as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
