Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s soccer draws with Geneva, 1-1

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Darius Googe (East Hartford, Conn./East Hartford) scored early for the Allegheny men's soccer team, but a late Geneva goal led to a 1-1 draw in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action in Meadville Wednesday (Oct. 5).

The Gators struck first in the 15th minute. A Cam Kaminski (Bowling Green, Ohio/Maumee Valley Country Day) pass led Googe past the Geneva backline. Googe lifted the shot high, off the outstretched goalie's hands and into the net.

In the 23rd minute, the Golden Tornadoes earned a penalty kick. Goalkeeper Gabe Anthony (Taretnum, Pa./Highlands) turned the shot away, making a diving stop on a ball struck just inside the post to his left.

The game remained 1-0 until the 86th minute when the Golden Tornadoes scored unassisted to tie the game at one. The Gators had an opportunity as time expired but Anthony Melograne's (Pittsburgh, Pa./Peters Township) shot went wide.
