Meadville, Pa. -- The Allegheny College football team suffered a 54-7 defeat against Case Western Reserve University on Saturday at Frank B. Fuhrer Field.
As part of the Senior Day festivities, Allegheny (2-7, 1-6 PAC) honored its fourteen senior football players with a pregame ceremony. These players included

John Ian Duron (Coral Springs, Fla./J.P. Taravella),
Austin Ferguson (Creedmoor, N.C./South Granville),
Shawn Stelling (Southampton, N.Y./Southampton),

The Spartans (6-2, 5-1 PAC) began the contest on a 30-point run, which included four touchdowns and a first-quarter safety. Case Western Reserve punter Joseph Rhodes V created the scoring opportunity for his defense with a perfectly-place punt that bounced out at the 1-yard line to set up Allegheny's third drive of the day.
Despite the early struggles, junior quarterback
Jack Johnson (Hingham, Mass./Hingham/Milford Academy) connected with Lohr on the longest scoring play of the contest in the second quarter. Johnson found Lohr streaking past the CWRU secondary and the senior receiver had just enough to outrun the defenders to the end zone for a 75-yard touchdown to open the third drive of the second quarter.
Garrett Paxton (Freedom, Pa./Freedom Area) kicked in the extra point to cut the deficit to 30-7.
The momentum shifted back to Case Western Reserve, as the Spartans finished the game on a 24-point barrage.
